A playful prediction from a Norwegian supporter in Orlando.
After Norway’s historic victory over Brazil, what once seemed like an impossible World Cup dream suddenly feels alive. The road ahead is still difficult, but football has always made room for miracles.
First Challenge: England
Norway’s first obstacle is England, led by Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham. On the other side stand Erling Haaland and Martin Ødegaard, the two stars now carrying Norway’s greatest football story.
It will be a very tough match, but Viking supporters have every right to dream. Perhaps the football gods will smile on the warriors from the North.
Second Challenge: Argentina
If Norway gets past England, Argentina may be waiting in the semifinal. After their dramatic comeback against Egypt, Lionel Messi and his teammates have once again shown why they remain one of the most dangerous teams in the world.
It would be a beautiful clash: Argentina’s elegant Tango against the fearless spirit of the Vikings. A match that would make the whole football world stop and watch.
The Final Challenge: A Rematch with France
In the sweetest dream of Norwegian supporters, the World Cup Final would be a rematch against France.
It would be a chance for Haaland and Martin Ødegaard to answer the defeat from the group stage. Just reaching the World Cup Final would already be a historic chapter for the Norwegian football. Winning the golden trophy would become a story to be told for generations.
And if that miracle truly happens, I solemnly promises to offer six banana plantains to the football gods of MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.

Then, before the opening whistle, the Viking warriors will look across the pitch at the French Roosters, smile calmly, and borrow a famous line from The Terminator:
“I’ll be back.”
Of course, this is only a playful declaration between football lovers. On the pitch, the most beautiful thing would still be a final worthy of the World Cup.
Since the day Norway defeated Brazil, the Vikings have stopped saying “maybe.” Now they say:
“Maybe... I’ll be back.”
One match at a time. One dream each night. And the Viking ship is still sailing toward the golden trophy.
